Visit Egremni Beach

Egremni beach in Lefkada, Greece after the earthquake in October 2015 is now closed.

The last earthquake in 2015 has set the most stunning and wild beach on the island of Lefkada as closed for the public.

All the 300 steps together with the footpath were collapsed by the earthquake. 

It is also known as "50 shades of blue" beach and is located (40km southwest of the city of Lefkada) on the west coast of the island.

Egremni became recently isolated due to the big earthquake and it is now accessible only by boat! While approaching the coast, it is impossible to resist to the vibes of this magic and unique beach.

How to access Egremni Beach after the earthquake 

Egremni Beach was hit badly by the earthquake. The access to this stunning and wild beach is harder than before. You can go by car the area of the old parking, but this is senseless as there are no stairs going down. The only available way through is only by boat on a private or semi-private cruise.

The sea, following nature's flow, is restoring itself little by little. The huge winter waves wash out the huge collapsed rocks and the landslides.
