Public buses Lefkada
Public transportation is a less expensive mean of getting around Lefkad, and at the same time an amusing way to explore the region. Not only do public buses in Lefkada provide access to some of the region's most stunning attractions, but they also offer an interesting insight into local life and culture.
Local buses transfer visitors only to some of the most touristic places on the island - for example the most west coast is served only up to Kathisma Beach, therefore, you cannot visit the famous beaches of the island like: Kavalikefta, Megali Petra, Avali, Gialos, Egremni and Porto Katsiki by bus. There are several bus stops in Chora (Lefkas Town) and Nydri to get around other places on the island. You can find more information about routes and timetables on their website www.ktel-lefkadas.gr
Taxis and Private Transfers
A taxi might be an expensive option when compared to buses or other forms of public transportation, however it is definitely worth it if you're looking for a stress-free travel experience. With taxis and private transfers, you can get to your destination quickly without having to worry about anything else!
**You can always contact us and leave us a request, for transfers only within the island of Lefkada (not Airport), and for groups up to 3 persons (max. with no buggage).
Car and Scooter Rentals
Renting a car or motorbike gives you the ultimate freedom to explore Lefkada however you please! Not only can you get to some of the most spectacular and remote places, but you also have complete control over your own schedule. In case you don't have your own vehicle, it is an excellent idea to rent a car for your sightseeing trips!
**Always remember that a scooter or qaud, is more convenient but also more dangerous, a car is always safer but the roads to the beaches are narrow, so a big car will add some level of difficulty, especially in turnovers (on your way back from the beach).
