Porto Katsiki Beach what is it? and some facts to know

Porto Katsiki beach is the most popular and easily accessible of the beaches in Lefkada island. 

It is located almost 45km from the city of Lefkada, at the southwest coast of the island.

With only a few stairs (almost 70 steps) away it is a very accessible beach, it has a great sunset view and incredible spots to take some stunning photos for your instagram.

It is very well organized and family-friendly beach, with many canteens close to the parking area, delivering food and drinks downstairs at the beach.

 

 

Get the most out of Porto Katsiki Beach

For a better experience try to avoid visiting Porto Katsiki beach on weekends, or between 12.00-15:00 PM on a daily basis especially during the high season between July and early September.

 

How to access Porto Katsiki Beach after the earthquake 

Porto Katsiki beach was not affected a lot by the earthquake back in 2018. The road is clear and there is access everywhere at the beach.

The beach is very well designated and there are signs indicating all the dangerous spots.

For extra safety during your visit here,  try to avoid seating close to the cliffs and the prohibited areas, unlike me in the photo below :)
