How do you get to Lefkada?
In Lefkada, you can get mainly by car or airplane via the Airport of Preveza, while you can also come by bus or by the ferry that connects the Ionian islands.
You can easily drive to Lefkada from the mainland of Greece through a small narrow bridge and access Lefkada by car or by bus.
Since 2019 Lefkada is connected through a ferry crossing the Ionian islands every 2 days.
However, Lefkada is connected by all means with the mainland and rest of the Ionian islands, and this makes Lefkada an easily reachable place.
Does Lefkas have an airport?
Lefkada literally does not have an airport of its own, it is served through via the PVK Airport in Preveza which is located almost 25 km from the town of Lefkada. It is a seasonal airport, operating only on summer, and receiving charter flights from abroad or the other Greek islands.
There are many Airlines and many tour operators that fly to Preveza. Check on Skyscanner or Kayak to find the cheapest flights to Preveza.
The airport is busy in the summer and you can get also transfers to Lefkada from there.
